Joseph Ovwemuvwose

Joseph Ovwemuvwose is currently studying for his doctorate at Imperial College London.  He is also the founder and CEO of Emmu Books, a platform dedicated to amplifying the voice of writers from under-represented communities and minority ethnic group in the  UK. As one of the main conveners of the Urhobo Collective platform, his aspiration is to help contribute to the sustenance of the ethos and the rich cultural legacy and heritage of the Urhobo nation and this includes the food, the language, the style of clothing and many of the unique elements of our culture that fascinates him from his childhood years growing up in Delta State. 

His main hobby is writing. And if he is not reading research papers or writing one, you will catch him writing code for computer models and simulations or reading a good book. He also enjoys cooking and one of his favourite Urhobo meal is Banga soup with starch. Oghwo evwri and starch (usi/urhi) is also one of the very good one he enjoys too.
